Getting a holiday meal

Is the Thanksgiving turkey free?

Yes. ARCM Cares turkey boxes and Christmas plates are free for the families and neighbors who receive them.

How do I get a free Thanksgiving turkey in Denver?

Turkey boxes go to families referred by schools, churches and partner agencies. Ask your school, church or caseworker, or call ARCM Cares at (303) 306-8334.

Can a senior or veteran get a holiday meal delivered?

Yes. Seniors living alone, veterans and people with disabilities who can’t make it to pickup can receive delivery. Call (303) 306-8334 to ask.

Where can I get a hot meal on Christmas in Denver?

ARCM Cares serves hot plates at shelters, encampments and day centers on December 24 and 25. Call us closer to the date for locations, or dial 2-1-1 for meals any day.

Thanksgiving turkey drive

When is the 2026 Thanksgiving turkey drive in Denver?

Turkey boxes are distributed the week of November 23, 2026, ahead of Thanksgiving on November 26.

Do you deliver to seniors and veterans?

Yes. Seniors living alone, veterans and people with disabilities who can’t make it to the drive-through pickup can receive delivery.

How much does it cost to sponsor a Thanksgiving dinner?

About $40 feeds a family of four: one turkey plus a box of sides. Corporate sponsorships start at $500.

When are Christmas meals served in Denver?

Christmas Hot Plates are served on December 24 and 25, 2026.

Where are the hot plates served?

Plates are served where people are: shelters, encampments and day centers in the Denver metro area. Call (303) 306-8334 closer to the date for locations.

What is in a winter care pack?

Every plate goes out with a winter care pack of gloves, socks and hand warmers.

How much does one Christmas meal cost to sponsor?

About $8 covers one hot Christmas plate and a winter care pack. The Hot Plate sponsorship level of $500 provides about 60 plates.

Volunteering

How long is a volunteer shift?

Packing and serving shifts run 2 to 3 hours.

How big can our group be?

Shifts work for groups of 5 to 30. Individuals can call (303) 306-8334 to ask about open spots.

When are the 2026 volunteer shifts?

Thanksgiving packing and distribution happen the week of November 23. Christmas plates are served December 24 and 25.

Can volunteering be part of a sponsorship?

Yes. Turkey Table sponsors and above receive volunteer spots for their team. See sponsorship levels.

Sponsoring

How are sponsor gifts used?

Sponsor dollars pay for food, packaging and delivery. ARCM Roofing covers its own staff time, trucks and fuel, so those costs never come out of a gift.

What is the deadline to appear on banners and packaging?

Commit and send your logo by November 6. Sponsors who join later are still recognized on our website and social channels.

Can our employees volunteer as part of a sponsorship?

Yes. Turkey Table sponsors and above receive volunteer spots for their team. Any company can also book a team volunteer shift.

What will we receive after the holidays?

Every sponsor receives a January report with meal counts and photos, along with a receipt for the gift.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Tax-deductibility depends on 501(c)(3) status. Every gift receives a receipt, and our team can answer questions about your specific gift.
